Technology firm Xunlei Limited announced the launch of a new high-performance file system based on distributed registry technology
Technology firm Xunlei Limited, known to most as “Chinese BitTorrent”, announced the launch of a new high-performance file system based on distributed registry technology. Its main goal will be support for blockchain-platforms.
The company’s management is confident that the ThunderChain File System will be able to positively influence the development of blockchain technologies around the world. And given the fact that it will connect several properties of such file systems as IPFS and Filecoin, the platform will have a high level of security and the necessary flexibility.
In addition, the creators are going to use a number of additional tools, whose name has not yet been disclosed, but, they say, this will significantly affect the stability of the system.
The development was presented during the event in the Chinese city of Shenzhen. At the same time, Xunlei announced the winners of the DApps developers competition, held with its support.
Recall that the first data on the upcoming file system was released in April, but then the company only told about the possibility of processing “millions of transactions per second.”
