The Ethiopian government signed a memorandum of understanding with the Cardano (ADA) crypto-cash start-up. Ethiopian developers intend to use blockchain in the agro-industrial sector of the country. The CEO and founder of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, has already confirmed this event with a tweet.

He said that under the agreement with the Ministry of Science and Technology of Ethiopia, the Cardano team will train local developers with the nuances of working with blockchain technology, and the ADA are involved in the agro-industrial area of the country.

The launch of the platform, based on the blockchain of Cardano, is planned by the end of 2018. Despite the fact that the “memorandum of understanding” is only a symbolic demonstration of “friendship”, the agreement does not imply any tough commitments from both sides. The project launch date and other detailed details have not been disclosed.
