SEC to review Bitcoin ETF Bitwise

Bitwise’s application for the launch of the Bitcoin ETF will be re-examined by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) after the refusal in October this year. This is written by CoinDesk.

The agency published a corresponding notice on November 18, according to which the package of documents Bitwise Asset Management and NYSE Arca is returned to the SEC due to non-compliance with the current requirements related to counteraction to the manipulative component of the market and other illegal activities.

Now the Commission has again begun to accept public comments regarding the relevance of launching such a product. At the same time, the notification emphasizes that the effect of the previous negative decision will remain valid in the process of reconsidering the application.
